Synthetic Oil in 875r Gator

My Gator is coming up for an oil change at 100 hrs. I was wondering if I could change to Synthetic Oil at this point. I have not had much experience with Syn Oil. Also this the third Oil change I will have done. One at 8 hrs, 50hrs and 100hrs coming up. Any thoughts or opinions are welcome.
